Estates Gazette has once again got it wrong about the Power Station.  A report in this week’s edition of the publication claiming that Ballymore is in discussions to buy the Battersea Power Station site is completely untrue.

Ballymore is not back in talks to buy Battersea Power Station. There have been no discussions between Ballymore and developer Parkview International about them being a prospective investor in the Battersea Power Station site since Parkview decided not to proceed with an offer earlier in the year that was based on greatly increasing the proportion of residential in the mixed use scheme.

This latest report in Estate Gazette is one of several “news” stories and editorials in the trade publication this summer which have been at best misguided but mostly based on inaccurate rumour, conjecture, journalist’s creating their own version of events and snide comment.

Contrary to reports in Estates Gazette the Power Station project is in excellent shape both commercially and financially.
